
There are various jobs available here in Tenerife and depending on suitability and availability your Playaway Reps will endeavour to get you sorted with work as soon as you're ready to. That is if you choose to work and not just have a lengthy holiday. Here's a brief desciption of each one:
BAR/CLUB PR Hours-8pm-4am Depending on bar/club Pay-Some bar/club offer a basic wage of 30-40 euros per night others may have a commission structure of 50c-1euro per person you bring in. It is all dependent on the bar/club What you'll be doing-You will be approaching tourists, trying to get them in to the bar or club you are working for. You will spend your evenings drinking and chatting up people. You will need to be outgoing and confident and be able to work in a party atmosphere. Advantages-Free drinks, Working in Party Atmosphere
RESTAURANT WORK Hours- Dependent on Role can be any hours from 10am till Midnight. Pay-Again this is dependent on the role and amount of hours worked but can be between 30-50 euros a day/night plus tips What you'll be doing-You could be either in a PR role handing out leaflets for the restaurant and asking people to eat there,waiter/waitress or kitchen work. A bubbly personality and a big smile will get you far working in the restaurants. Advantages-Basic Wage, most restaurants offer free lunch and/or dinner to staff. Night time will be left free to party!
JELLY SHOT GIRLS Hours-Depending on the bar/club the hours are 10pm-4am. Pay-It is a commission based job but earnings can be from 20-70 euros a night. What you'll be doing?-Working in a permanent party atmosphere you will be selling a wide selection of jelly drinks, shots, tubes and gas chambers. You have to be very outgoing and have the ability to be fun and flirty. Advantages-Relatively easy, Free Drinks, Good Tips
BAR STAFF Hours-Varied depending on location but tend to be 8 hour shifts between 11am-4am. Pay-Average wage is 40 euros a day plus any tips. What you'll be doing?Working behind the bar in the islands best bars/clubs, serving anything from local beer to exotic cocktails. It is more advantageous to have experience but not essential. You will need to be good with numbers as well as be able to gel with the punters. Advantages-Regular Wage, Working in party places, Free Drinks!!
GLASS COLLECTORS Hours-Varied depending on location but tend to be 8 hour shifts between 11am-4am. Pay-Average wage is 40 euros a day. What you'll be doing?Re-stocking the bar and collecting empty glasses. Making sure that bar, ashtrays, toilets and floors are kept clean at all times. LAUGHING GAS CREW Hours-11pm-6am Pay-It is a commision based job but earnings can be from 30-70 euros a night. What you'll be doing?Going around the best bars and club selling laughing gas to party goers. This is a very popular job as you can be situated in different places throughout the evening...you will also spend most of your working hours laughing. Advantages-Varied Locations of Work, Great Fun
TELEMARKETING Hours-Varied but are 5-6 days a week. 6-8 hour shifts between the hours of 10am-8pm Pay-Some companies have a basic salary but the majority is commission based. You can earn between 150-400 euros a week. What you'll be doing?Contacting people by phone offering them great holidays for little money or even for FREE!! It is more of an office based job than others but still good fun as there is a great team spirit. Advantanges-Potentially great money and has long term opportunities for those who wish to stay here for a while.
